A. D. Players announces that their Easter season production "Surprising God" will open April 1 and run through April 26, 2015 on the Grace Theater stage.

In two distinct and delightful one-act plays, Jeannette Clift George explores the ways we serve a surprising God. First, "The Gospel According to Jessica" serves up a vibrant contemporary debate between the world and the Word. Next, influenced by the parable of the sower and the seeds, "Right Here in Ivy Hollow" enjoys the same fun and small town richness of comedies like "The Andy Griffith Show" and their recent success, "Wedding Belles."

"I find theater to be joy, hard work, and frequently frightening. The adventure calls us to develop work unseen, through paths unknown before an audience unrehearsed. But the frightening aspect of the adventure is part of its joy. And joy is the reasoning behind these stories." -- Jeannette Clift George, Director

The cast of Surprising God includes A. D. Players' resident actors Patty Tuel Bailey and Chip Simmons as well as Guest Artists Katharine Hatcher and Haley Hussey.
The production team features scenic and lighting design by Mark A Lewis, properties design by Trisha Wise, costume design by Patty Tuel Bailey, and sound design by Nikki Johnson. Directed by Jeannette Clift George and assistant directed by Kevin Dean.
