A. D. Players announces that Mass Appeal will open tonight, October 22nd and run through November 16, 2014 on their Grace Theater stage, as the second show of the company's 2014-2015 season.
One Sunday, seminarian Mark Dolson interrupts Father Tim Farley's sermon to challenge his stance on the ordination of women. This comedy-drama focuses on the conflict between a complacent Roman Catholic pastor and an idealistic young deacon who is assigned to Father Tim's affluent, suburban church. Each man has something to teach the other in an ultimate search for spiritual truth.
"Mass Appeal will not only entertain you, it will also challenge you with questions no one should hide from," Joey Watkins, director, said.
The cast of Mass Appeal includes A. D. Players' resident actors Ric Hodgin and Braden Hunt.
The production team features scenic and lighting design by Mark A. Lewis, properties design by Abigail Kehr, costume design by Patty Tuel Bailey, and sound design by Zach Varela. Directed by Joey Watkins and assistant directed by Chip Simmons.
