Theater LaB Houston makes a theatrical move to MATCH Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston with its 23rd season of major Houston Premieres. TLH will present its productions in the intimate 75 seat black box space - Theater One. This is TLH's biggest and best season to date and as always introduces Houston audiences to an outstanding array of theatrical productions that are exciting, bold, contemporary and certainly not be missed.

In February 2016, TLH will present the Regional Premiere of the critically acclaimed Canadian play -

52 PICK UP

by TJ Dawe and Rita Bozi.

52 cards. 52 scenes. 1 complicated relationship. Been in a relationship lately? Ever? This engaging dramedy is a blend of sharp, perceptive writing and improvisation, 52 PICK UP highlights the many hysterical and heartbreaking truths of falling in love, staying in love and perhaps calling it quits. You say, been there, done that - What's the DEAL about 52 PICK UP? (pun intended) 52 titles of scenes about a relationship are noted on an ordinary deck of playing cards and the performance follows the order that they are arbitrarily picked up off the stage throughout the show. Yep - at the top of the show, the actors throw a deck of cards in the air. Didn't you ever play 52 PICK UP as a kid?

Winner Best of Fest - Boulder, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver Fringe Fests

Directed by Linda Phenix, the production features Houston acting couple Robin Van Zandt and James Monaghan who live in the Houston Heights.
