Ron unveils one of his true loves, a Fender Stratocaster, and he and band revel in the opportunity to play as big and bold as the music warrants while embracing a wide range of musical styles - funk, soul, rock and everything in between.
Ron Artis II & The Truth will share this exciting EP with audiences, with a much-anticipated return to the Blue Note Hawaii stage on August 29th. He will then visit Paia, Hawaii (MAUI) on September 2nd and Trees Lounge in Kapaa on the island of Kauai September 3rd. Ron Artis II is an American musician/singer-songwriter. He is best known for his work as Ron Artis II and Thunderstorm in Hawaii. He is named after his father Ron Artis, and is the eldest son in a family of eleven children. Ron has enjoyed music since before he could walk, crawling across his father's piano at age one. Ron has grown in all genres of music and loves to create new songs on the spot in his concerts, believing that, "Music is meant to be lived, as life is meant to be lived." Ron's recordings include genres of music from Rock, Blues, and Jazz and completely to the other side of the world into classical, flamenco then into the streets of Rap, R&B and soul.
