Maui OnStage presents the Maui premiere of the 2008 Tony Award-winning revival "Boeing, Boeing" by Marc Camoletti, translated by Beverly Cross and revised by Francis Evans. This swinging '60s French farce features Parisian lothario, Bernard, who has Italian, American, and German fiancees, each beautiful airline hostesses with frequent layovers. When unforeseen schedule changes land all three in his Paris apartment on the same night, Berthe, his long-suffering maid, advises Robert, a visiting college buddy, to "Drink up, it's going to be a bumpy night."

Directed by Michael Pulliam ("The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy"), "Boeing Boeing" stars some of Maui's finest comedy stage stars including Brian Connolly, Sara Jelley, Erin McCargar, Lin McEwan, Kalani Whitford and Jamie Wilcox.

In 1991, the play was listed in the "Guinness Book of Records" as the most performEd French play throughout the world.

"This latest edition of a play named for an aircraft soars right out of its time zone and into some unpolluted stratosphere of classic physical comedy. Propelled by the same gusty spirit that animated Commedia dell'Arte and the silent films of Keaton, Chaplin and Lloyd" - "The New York Times"

"This is the funniest show on the London stage." - Charles Spencer, "Daily Telegraph"
"I cannot remember experiencing a West End evening of such sheer, silly, comic pleasure." - Nicholas de Jongh, "Evening Standard"
"Fasten your seatbelts for the most deliriously funny flight of your life." - Georgina Brown, "Mail on Sunday"

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays September 30 through October16 at the Historic Iao Theater. Tickets range from $20 to $40. Due to the adult nature of this play, it may not be appropriate for children. For more information or to purchase tickets for any Iao Theater event call 242-6969 or visit mauionstage.com.
