ProArts, Inc. is proud to present "Greater Tuna" the world-wide comedy hit as the final production of their Spring season. This hysterical two-man comedic tour de force will be presented for ten performances at the ProArts Playhouse in Kihei.
"Greater Tuna" is directed by Doug Kendrick with assistant direction by Kristi Scott. The Lone Star scenery is designed by Caro Walker with quick change costumes by Marsha Kelly and lighting by local expert Bonnie Prucha. ProArts productions are co-produced by Doug Kendrick and Jonathan Lehman.
Opening night is May 27 and the show runs until June 12, 2011 ; Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm. There will be no performances on May 29. ProArts offers reserved seats for adults at $20.00 and for students 18 & under at $15.00. Kama'aina nights are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, and two Thursdays, June 2 and 9. Hawaiian residents get a discount for those performances.
The intimate ProArts Playhouse is located at the Azeka (Makai) Shopping Center, 1280 S. Kihei Rd. in Kihei. The Playhouse is air conditioned with 80 reserved seats. There is free parking, plenty of nearby restaurants, and an art gallery inside currently featuring photography by Jack Grace and watercolors by Leslie Granat.
"Greater Tuna" contains very mild profanity, and is recommended for ages 13+.
