Kumu Kahua Theatre is offering a free audition workshop for actors on Sunday, June 23, 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
The workshop, offered to actors of all levels, will focus on the 'cold reading' often called for by directors at auditions.
Kumu Kahua Managing Director, award winning actor and director, Donna Blanchard; and Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts educator, actor, director and playwright, John Wat will present.
Attendees will learn about the biggest mistakes commonly made during cold readings. They'll also learn and practice audition preparation, script and character analysis, quick character goal setting, warming up and calculated risk taking. Instruction will tailored for each actor's level of experience.
Call the Kumu Kahua Theatre office, 536-4222, with questions and to reserve a space in the workshop.
