Da Kine Space by Lee A. Tonouchi will have its world premiere at Kumu Kahua Theatre, 46 Merchant Street in downtown Honolulu, through February 13, 2011.

In Lee Tonouchi's Da Kine Space you will meet Cy, a failed artist frustrated by his life and relationships, and Jader, a wannabe filmmaker with some odd ideas about art. As Cy and Jader confront the creative process, pop culture, the generation gap and more, the theatre becomes a living art gallery in this innovative new comedy. Lee A. Tonouchi, the author of Living Pidgin and Gone Feeshing, brings his sharply-honed pidgin and offbeat sense of humor to this wry study of art and life in contemporary Hawai‘i.
