Improvaganza: Hawaii Festival of Improv presents its 13th Annual celebration of Improv in all its diverse expression from Thursday, October 4 - 7 at Kumu Kahua Theatre.

This year's Festival features 17 improvisation groups from Portland, Seattle, Kihei, Honolulu, San Francisco, Kailua-Kona, and Auckland, New Zealand.

All of these acts will be showcased in a block of themed performances including a Geeky Improv showcase, Musical Improv Showcase and a Genre Improv showcase.

The Geeky Improv showcase on Friday Oct 5 will feature The New "Messrs", a Harry Potter Inspired show and The U.S.S Improvised, an improvised musical based on Star Trek: The Next Generation. More improvised musicals will be presented on Saturday October 6 with the Musical Improv Showcase featuring Cotton Gin, an improvised Musical featuring puppets and I love Musicals, a musical inspired by the classic Television Series I love Lucy. The Genre Improv showcase will also be on Saturday Oct 6 and feature A Bards Tale, an Improvised Shakespeare play and the return of local improv troupe On The Spot's improvised silent movie show Hush.

Tickets are available for $15 for one show, $20 for two shows, or $25 for all three shows per evening. They can be purchased through Kumu Kahua Theatre online at www.kumukahua.org or at the box office, or you may purchase an all access VIP Pass for $60 online at Improvaganza.com

Improvaganza runs: Thursday, October 4th at 7:30pm, Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th, at 6:30pm, 8:30pm, and 10:30pm, Sunday October 7th at 6:30pm.
