Shakespeare's romantic comedy of cross-dressing, mistaken identities, and not-so-courtly love is brought to you by the popular Hawaii Young Actors' Ensemble.

April 22-23, 2010

Thursday, 7:00 PM
Friday, 7:00 PM

Tickets (on sale now):
$15 General Admission
$10 HTC Members, Youth, Seniors, Students & Military (w/ID)

Showcasing the talented members of the Hawaii Young Actors' Ensemble in full Elizabethan regalia, and directed by Eden-Lee Murray, TWELFTH NIGHT toys with the intersection of power and love through a tale of noble twins separated in a shipwreck. Watch as Viola and Sebastian manage to find each other against all odds, but not before thoroughly confusing those who befriend them. Add the richly idiosyncratic members of Lady Olivia's household and the havoc they wreak on her puritanical, narcissistic steward, Malvolio - one of the tastiest antagonists in Shakespeare's canon - and you have the recipe for a delicious evening of comedy!

The show is appropriate for those in 6th grade and older.

Hawaii Theatre has tapped the local theatre community to assemble a top-notch creative team for this production. They include Deborah Masterson, a professional TaKeTiNa musician, who has created an original soundscape for the play and will provide live accompaniment for each of the four shows; set designer Paul Guncheon; lighting designer Janine Myers; and costume designer Elizabeth Wolfe.
