Cable TV/USO Comedian Louis Johnson will be headlining The Studio at Hawaiian Brian's for one night only, Sunday, April 27 at 7:30pm as part of his The One Lucky Mofo Comedy Tour.
Louis Johnson has appeared on Comedy Central, B.E.T., Showtime, A&E, and his own Showtime "Comic Of The Month" Special which aired after winning Showtime Networks Funniest Person in America contest. Declared the winner following a nationwide phone-in vote, he won cash (long gone) and the cable special. Louis has been featured at the Denver, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Edmonton Comedy Festivals, and, most recently, The 2014 Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia. Johnson headlines comedy clubs, major cruise lines, and is a founding member of the acclaimed "Sellout Comedy Tour" which features the hilarious and interactive segment called 'Ask A Black Man...Anything!'. They have been touring theaters for the last 6 years.
At the end of 2013 he released the first in a series of DVD's on his website called "Crowd Work. Vol.1," which feature spontaneous, funny interactions caught on video between himself and comedy audiences.
He's been a regular on U.S.O. World Comedy Break Tours since 1995, visiting places such as Italy, Albania, Greece, Iceland, England, Scotland, Hungary, Belgium, Croatia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Macedonia, Bosnia, Panama, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Japan, Korea and Alaska.
He laughs and you laugh with him. It's the kind of laugh your grandmother would never allow in her house because she would think of it as mischievous. And you know what? She would be right.
Opening the show will be a few of Hawaii's funniest underground comedians Shane Lucas Price, Dallas Gwynn, Jesse Savio, and Niko Nakeia. The show will be hosted by James Mane. Maestro Dobel Tequila Drink specials will be served all night.
