G. Love

G. Love proudly describes himself as a road dog who "will be touring until I fall off the earth" and plans to keep on pushing with Special Sauce from stage to stage. Whether his next record makes one dollar or a million, it isn't a big concern to him. Anything he releases stands as a huge success because he made a gritty, honest album or track with the intention to "keeping it raw, keeping it immediate, keeping it real." It's an approach that he has honed over the years: "be original and be true to what you do."
Kyle Eastwood
Dates: January 10 - 14
Showtimes: 6:30pm & 9pm
Doors: 5pm & 8:30pm
Tickets: $45, $35, $25
In the 17 years since the release of From There To Here, prolific bassist/composer Kyle Eastwood has forged a dynamic musical path. His artistry is eclectic, yet refined and transcends the boundaries of jazz by exploring an ever-widening range of musical influences. While continuing to develop his parallel career as a composer and arranger on his legendary father Clint's Oscar nominated films "Mystic River," "Million Dollar Baby" and "Letters from Iwo Jima," Eastwood has reaffirmed traditions while creating truly contemporary, lyrical and melodic jazz.
Eastwood's latest release "Time Pieces" is all at once a fresh landmark in Eastwood's discography and a culmination of a recent reassessment of his personal and artistic aesthetic that began with the release of Songs From the Chateau in 2011. The new phase of his career has involved a powerfully swinging, yet eminently sensual quintet of young English musicians: starting with Andrew McCormack (piano), Quentin Collins (trumpet and flugelhorn) and now including BranDon Allen (tenor and soprano sax) and Ernesto Simpson (drums). Eastwood brilliantly confirmed this new creative foundation on The View From Here (2013), often giving the impression of connecting with jazz archetypes while focusing on the pure joy of group interaction.

Doors: 5pm & 8:30pm
Tickets: $85, $75, $65

Impressions, GRAMMY Award-Winning trumpeter Chris Botti's new Sony CD, is the latest in a stellar parade of albums - starting with 2004's When I Fall In Love and continuing with To Love Again, Italia and the CD/DVD Chris Botti In Boston - that have firmly established him as the world's largest selling jazz instrumentalist. Add to that a GRAMMY for "Best Pop Instrumental Album" and four #1 albums on Billboard's Jazz Albums listings.Botti seemed destined to become a musician - and even to become the kind of musician he is today - almost from the very beginning. Born in Portland, Oregon, he was encouraged to pursue music by his mother, a concert pianist. He also had an early taste of the international world that would become his primary territory as a successful performing artist. His father, who is Italian, taught English and Italian languages, and he took the family to live in Italy for several years, beginning when Botti was in the first grade. Now a major artist in his own right, performing worldwide, selling more than three million albums, he has found a form of creative expression that begins in jazz and expands beyond the limits of any single genre. With Impressions and the albums that preceded it, Chris Botti has thoroughly established himself as one of the important, innovative figures of the contemporary music world.

Recording has played an important part of Robert's career, and he has collectively (as The Brothers Cazimero) and individually released over 30 albums over the past three decades. The success of these recording projects can easily be measured by the fact that they all remain on the market. Fans of Robert and The Brothers Cazimero boast of a complete collection of CDs and tapes.
