Every year the Komische Oper Berlin begins the season with a festival for children and their families. We shall be organising a large number of musical and scenic events for children to explore and enjoy, onstage and behind the scenes, in the context of the children's opera The Emperor’s New Clothes by Miloš Vacek, which has its premiere in October, and also to provide an insight into the work of the children's choir, especially with reference to the performance of Prokoviev’s Peter and the Wolf.
This is the day when the brilliant world of opera is displayed in all its impressive multiplicity. Friends of the opera, both large and small, can expect a lively and thrilling experience full of music, theatre and culinary delights.
Entrance is free. Tickets are required for seats in the Large Auditorium for performances there, and these are also free of charge.
