Marco Island Academy's theatre program will debut Torch: A Musical Tale, an original musical by instructor Christopher Dayett, from April 4 to April 12, 2025. Set in an Icelandic Viking-like era, the story follows Torch, an orphaned young man whose quest to restore the Northern Lights stolen by an evil sorcerer intertwines with the fate of the Kingdom of Aurora. With a cast that includes over 20 performers from local schools and the community, this pioneering production showcases the talents and creativity of its students in a never-before-seen musical. The collaborative effort also includes contributions from local artists, ensuring a unique theatrical experience.
