Florida Rep's Education Conservatory Program will stage an updated musical adaptation of the classic mother-daughter body-swapping story in Freaky Friday. This production features a book by Bridget Carpenter and music by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, and will be performed by local youth aged 11 to 22. Directed by Megan Jimenez Leonard, with music direction by Rosalind Metcalf and choreography by Robin Dawn, the show highlights the importance of understanding and appreciating familial relationships. Audiences can expect a mix of heartfelt moments and comedic elements, all underscored by pop and R&B-infused music.
