There’s an explosion at the Minneapolis airport, and everyone is on high alert. With all the planes grounded, a stranded teenager pleads with a Somali-American shuttle driver to rush him to Chicago. As the two men cross the Midwest in the dead of winter, they discover that not everything is what it seems. Damascus investigates the seductiveness of extremism, the fine line between caution and paranoia, and the assumptions we make about one another, homeland, and security.
