TheatreZone Artistic Director Mark Danni today announced the addition of three new performances to the non-profit professional theatre group's 10th anniversary season. Newly added shows include a matinee of Mack & Mabel on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 at 2 pm, a matinee of Sweeney Todd on Saturday, February 14th, 2015 at 2 pm, and a matinee of Brooklyn -The Musical on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2 pm.
"Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive ticket sales to our 10th anniversary season schedule, the recent sell-out of Godspell, plus several already sold-out performances, the Board of Directors approved adding performances to accommodate patrons' requests for more afternoon shows," explains Danni.
TheatreZone's 10th anniversary season of musical plays began in early October with the sold-out production of Godspell, a collaboration with Florida Gulf Coast University Bower School of Music and the Arts, performed at the FGCU Theatre Lab. Next up is Broadway's legendary Jerry Herman's Mack & Mabel (January 8 - 18, 2015) followed by Tony-award winning composer Stephen Sondheim's musical thriller Sweeney Todd (February 5 - 15, 2015), followed by Brooklyn - The Musical (March 5 -15, 2015); and the season closes with Neil Simon's comedic gem They're Playing Our Song (April 30 - May 10, 2015).
