Artful teamwork. Equity regional theatre company TheatreZone, Opera Naples, and the ArtsNaples World Festival are teaming up again to present its second annual fete at Clive Daniel Home in Naples on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2012 from 5:30 until 7:30 pm.
The event presents Opera Naples founding artistic director, Steffanie Pearce; TheatreZone artistic director, Mark Danni; and ArtsNaples World Festival artistic director, Maestro William Noll and chairman & president, Trey Farmer previewing all three organizations' upcoming seasons with selected operatic and theatrical performances taking place amidst the elegant sofas, gourmet kitchens, luxury linens, lighting, and floor covering galleries at Clive Daniel Home.
Theatre performances include actor Gerrit VanderMeer, who wowed TheatreZone audiences as Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden in last year's production of "Next to Normal," and has been cast to play The Man in TheatreZone's Season 9 opener Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Whistle Down the Wind" in January and fan favorite Broadway actor Carolann Sanita, first seen by TheatreZone audiences playing a courtesan in last season's "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." Ms. Sanita will also star as socialite Tracy Lord in TheatreZone's production of "High Society" in February 2014.
Opera Naples' singers will perform highlights from its ninth season, which includesa double bill performance of The Telephone and The Medium, an exciting collaboration with Circus Sarasota in Ruggero Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci, Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville, and the final performance of the season, Nabucco, which is presented in partnership with the ArtsNaples World Festival as a part of its 10-day festival of cultural arts.
