Gulfshore Playhouse continues their 10th Anniversary season with new award-winning drama Something Intangible by Bruce Graham, playing November 1st through 24th with a pay-what-you-can preview performance on October 29th and a $25 preview performance on October 30th.
Set among the glitz and glamour of 1940's Hollywood, this lush new award-winning drama goes inside the movie studio and inside the lives of two brothers. One is the creative genius responsible for bringing the first animated feature film to the screen and the other is his loyal brother, who struggles to keep the money coming in to fund the next big dream which will ultimately change the film industry forever: a feature length animated film set to classical music. With deft wit and endearing humanity, Something Intangible explores the ties that bind, artistic inspiration, and that intangible something that can elevate the mundane to the sublime.Artistic Associate Cody Nickell will direct the production. Last season, Cody directed Gulfshore Playhouse's production God of Carnage and starred in 'Art' and The Whipping Man. Gulfshore Playhouse audiences will also get the chance to see Cody star in the one-man-show Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol in December.
