Gulfshore Playhouse continues their 10th Anniversary Season with the one-man version of Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol by Tom Mula, playing December 6 through 22, 2013, with a preview performance on December 5th.

In a hilarious twist on the beloved Christmas tale, Jacob Marley finds himself in Hell and learns that saving Scrooge's soul is the only road to his own salvation. Actor Cody Nickell wends his way through this one-man show, sliding effortlessly from Heavenly hijinks all the way to Hell and back. Theatregoers will join Gulfshore Playhouse for an evening with Scrooge, Cratchit, and 16 other Angels, Demons, Goblins, and Ghosts that will once again remind us all of the true meaning of Christmas.

Founder and Producing Artistic Director Kristen Coury will direct the production. "I am thrilled to offer our first Holiday show in many years with this new perspective on the classic Dickens tale. With Cody Nickell's enormous talent and expert craftsmanship, this play will be sure to please."

All roles will be played by Gulfshore Playhouse's Artistic Associate, Cody Nickell. Naples audiences will recognize Cody from last season's 'Art' and The Whipping Man. Cody also directed Gulfshore Playhouse's productions of Something Intangible and God of Carnage. Cody's other theatre credits include: The Taming of the Shrew (Helen Hayes Nomination), Arcadia (Helen Hayes Nomination), The School for Scandal, Macbeth; Woolly Mammoth: Clybourne Park (Helen Hayes Nomination), In the Next Room, or the vibrator play. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, Cody is a three-time Helen Hayes Award nominee and the winner of The Connecticut Critics' Circle Award.
