Annual 'Snow Me Away Cabaret' To Benefit Local Students! Image

Florida Repertory Theatre's Education Department is proud to present "Snow Me Away Cabaret" an annual Christmas Concert that showcases its current students, alumni, and its current acting interns. Proceeds benefit the newly founded College Theatre Scholarship Fund, which is awarded annually to students with ambitions to continue their theatre education in college. The one-night-only festive family event is set for Thursday, December 20th at 7 PM in the Historic Arcade Theatre.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and available online at www.floridarepeducation.org and through the box office at 239-332-4488.

"This holiday event was a huge hit last holiday season," said Florida Rep Education Director Kody C Jones, "and both parents and students made many requests to turn this into a holiday tradition. We are so proud of our students, and they deserve this time to shine and to help raise money for their scholarship fund. I hope you'll join us in supporting the artists of the future right here in our hometown."

The 2018 "Snow Me Away" features seven Florida Rep Education alumni returning to perform with current students and some of the 2018-2019 Acting Intern Company, and a mix of traditional holiday favorites, rock and pop, a few big Broadway-style dance numbers...and maybe even Santa will visit.

Florida Rep's College Theatre Scholarship Fund was formed last year and awarded scholarships to two outgoing students pursuing theatre in college, A.J. Gross, who is now studying at Pittsburgh's Point Park University, and Cat Westley, now attending Savannah College of Art and Design.

Applications are available now for the 2019 Scholarship and open to graduating seniors. Students interested in applying can go to www.floridarepeducation.org for information on the 2019 Scholarship cycle.
