After spending 22 years as a working and teaching professional in New York City, Michael decided to follow his instincts and try living and working in Paris.

Michael is currently teaching several different disciplines in Europe.

Broadway Jazz

Ballet

Vocal Technique

Musical Theatre Techniques

Michael is also up-and-coming singer in Paris. After working with jazz musician Matais Pizzaro on interpreting Broadway standards in a new way Michael and Matais are excited to present their concert work.

As a performer, Michael has performed all over the world. His 1st professional job was dancing in the acclaimed European production of West Side Story. His other credits include Anything Goes, Cabaret, A Christmas Carol, amoung others. Most recently, he was thrilled to portray Patrick in Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens directed by Bill Russell. Michael also worked closely with Tony Award Winner Ann Reinking in the workshop productions of Chicago for Broadway/Encores, Applause for Papermill Playhouse/National Tour and Bye, Bye Birdie for ABC-TV.

As a teacher, Michael has taught at Marymount Manhattan College (Musical Theatre Program), The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (Intergrated Program), Ballet Hispanico, Dance Masters of America, Studio Harmonic(Paris), Madrid Dance Center (Madrid), Stage International de Danse (Liege), amoung many others.

Jazz (Broadway Style and Classic Jazz): Michael begins with a warm-up which incorporates stretches, strengthening and technique. Michael approaches his jazz warm up with the philosophy that it's a place to work on technique and to open one's mind to continued learning. This is followed by across-the-floor progressions which focus on stylization, technical execution, and creativity. A challenging

combination follows in the particular class style. Certain technical specifics can be emphasized according to the studio's needs (i.e. pirouettes, leaps, fouettes, etc) ...sometimes it is helpful for students to hear a step explained from a different point of view.

Ballet: Michael's class is focused on correcting the issues and challenges that he is seeing today in the dance world (i.e. - Body Alignment, Pirouettes, Weight Change, etc.) They are complete classes consisting of barre and center. Center work consist of pas de bourrées, waltz step (pas de valse), promenades and pirouettes en dehors and en dedans,

along with other things that he sees fit to work on. Depending on age, level and ability, classes generally 90 minutes.
