French star Manon Taris makes her solo concert debut at Broadway au Carré tonight!

Currently on its third season, Broadway au Carré is the leading American musical theatre concert and open mic series in France and a true artistic exchange platform between French performers and American musical theatre songwriters, having produced over 30 concerts, readings and full-productions in Paris and in New York, including a sold-out concert at Feinstein's/54 Below last November (also one of Broadwayworld.com's Cabaret Top 5 Picks).

Tonight, Thursday, May 12th , the series will feature for the first time a solo concert by French musical theatre star Manon Taris (Beauty and the Beast, Dance of the Vampires, Sister Act). In "Manon Taris - Celle Que Je Suis", she will perform a selection of American musical theatre songs from all times, including several Sondheim and Lloyd Webber songs as well as tunes from the Disney princess roles that she has so often portrayed on stage. She will be joined by guests Chiara di Bari and Julien Mior and accompanied by pianist and music director John Florencio.

This evening also marks the beginning of Broadway au Carré's new international collaboration with the New York concert series MuseMatch. Every month, an American composer and a French performer will be paired up to create a new song to be premiered at the Comédie Nation theatre in Paris. Tonight, Manon Taris will premiere "When You Have Heart", a gorgeous new song written for her by composer Dana Levinson.

The second part of the evening will consist of Broadway au Carré's well-renowned American musical theatre open mic, hosted on this occasion by Lisandro Nesis and Perle Solvès (Godspell) and accompanied by Broadway au Carré's music director John Florencio.

Broadway au Carré takes place at Comédie Nation located at 77, rue de Montreuil, 75011 Paris, France. Doors open at 7 pm, showtime at 7:30 pm followed by an Open Mic at 9 pm. 13€ / 10€ (students) cover charge includes a drink. Reservations required online at http://www.comedienation.fr
