About
United Solo Theatre Festival, the world’s largest solo theatre festival, will hold its 18th and 19th seasons in Spring and Fall 2025 at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York City. The festival is open to solo performers across disciplines, including theatre, storytelling, stand-up, dance, music, multimedia, puppetry, and more. Performers from around the world are invited to apply, whether presenting world premieres or previously staged works.
The Spring Season runs from March 17 – April 20, 2025, and the Fall Season from October 20 – November 23, 2025. Artists may apply for either season or both. Shows are selected through an open submission process and are presented at Theatre Row in Manhattan’s theatre district.

Complete the online application form.

Pay the nonrefundable application fee through QuickBooks after submission.

Await email confirmation. Applications are not reviewed until the fee is received.
Each show requires its own application and fee. Applications must be complete, paid, and submitted via the official form. Performances are not shared billing; one performer per slot. Shows may be in English or another language, provided they have a potential audience in NYC.
Finances
Artists are responsible for a nonrefundable application fee (amount not specified in this listing, paid via QuickBooks). Selected participants are then required to pay a participation fee. Artists applying for both seasons benefit from a bundled participation fee, which includes a discount on the total cost and waives an additional submission fee.
Performers receive income from ticket sales. United Solo notes that artists may perform up to eight shows and keep 100% of ticket revenue from their performances.
