The KC Fringe Festival is Kansas City’s largest celebration of arts and culture, returning for its 20th season with a two-week lineup of performances, film screenings, visual arts exhibitions, and special events. As a non-juried and non-censored festival, KC Fringe provides a platform for artists to experiment with theatre, dance, film, music, and visual arts. Artists are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, fostering an inclusive and dynamic space for creativity.
Since its founding in 2005, KC Fringe has championed bold artistic expression while connecting creators with adventurous audiences. The festival aspires to be a leading pipeline for artistic innovation, supporting both emerging and established artists through mentorship, collaborations, and partnerships. It is committed to inclusivity, accessibility, and creating a safe, welcoming space for all participants.
KC Fringe is open to all performers and artists on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists must submit an application and pay a fee based on their venue size. The festival does not curate or censor its programming, allowing artists the freedom to present their work without restrictions.
