Trollwood Performing Arts School in Moorhead will present The Music Man, Meredith Willson's ode to Smalltown, USA and the charm of a bygone era, as its 33rd annual Mainstage Musical. The show will run from July 14 to July 30 in the Imagine Amphitheater at the Bluestem Center for the Arts.

Con man "Professor" Harold Hill arrives in River City, promising that he can teach the town's children how to play in a magnificent marching band. It's all part of a big swindle, but falling in love with the town's librarian wasn't part of the deal! The Music Man is an irresistible production the whole family will enjoy.

This award-winning production is an all-American Broadway classic, thanks to its nostalgic score of rousing marches ("Seventy-Six Trombones"), barbershop quartets ("Lida Rose"), sentimental ballads ("Till There Was You") and popular standards ("Wells Fargo Wagon," "Ya Got Trouble" and "Gary, Indiana").

The Music Man will perform on July 14-16, 20-23 and 27-30 at 8:30 pm in the Imagine Amphitheater. The Audio Described and American Sign Language interpreted performances will be announced soon. General admission tickets will be $13/adults, $11/seniors & students and $8/children 12 and under. The General Sales Box Office will open Wednesday, June 15, 2010 at 10:00 am. Tickets are also available by calling (218) 477-6502 or by visiting area Gate City Banks, Hornbacher's Foods Stores or at http://www.fargostuff.com. Reserved Seating costs $25.00, $20.00 and $17.00 and is available through the TPAS Box Office only.
