Harwood Prairie Playhouse has named their feature production for 2011. They will present Paul Slade Smith's UNNECESSARY FARCE in March. The show is directed by Pam Strait.

"Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there's some confusion as to who's in which room, who's being videotaped, who's taken the money, who's hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes."

The production opens March 11th and runs until March 26th. Tickets are $10, and the box office opens February 7th. For more information, please visit their official website.

Harwood Prairie Playhouse was organized to provide an opportunity for people to become involved in the staging of a comedy theater production and provide personal growth and development experiences in the area of comedic expression as participants and observers. They offer education through acting scholarships, workshops, and seminars. They will continue to provide quality entertainment to the Harwood and surrounding areas by expanding theater membership and broadening their available resources.
