Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT) presents Charlotte's Web on November 10 at 7:30pm, November 11 at 10am and 7:30pm, and November 12 at 2pm at The Stage at Island Park.

Based on E.B. White's beloved novel, Charlotte's Web is a poignant tale filled with humor and heart to be enjoyed by the young and old together. The story centers around the unlikely connection formed between Wilbur, an irresistible pig, and Charlotte, a kind and resourceful spider.

Lessons of life and death on the farm are hard truths for Fern Arable as she convinces her father to let her take care of a runt piglet she names Wilbur. As Wilbur grows in health and size, the pig is sent to a new home on Zuckerman's farm, a stop over before the butcher block. Upon learning his fate, Wilbur's new friends in the barnyard attempt to comfort him, but it is the voice of a spider named Charlotte who brings Wilbur relief as she promises to rescue him from his intended fate. Through her quick actions and clever wordsmithing, Charlotte saves Wilbur through a web-writing campaign that catapults Wilbur into stardom and spins the strands of a lifelong friendship.

Adapted by Joseph Robinette from E. B. White's classic book, FMCT's Charlotte's Web is directed by Shanara Lassig and features a multi-generational cast of 26 comprised of students and adults from throughout the community.

Audio description will be available on November 10, the opening night of the production. Assistive listening devices are available to patrons at the FMCT Box Office for all performances.

Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre members can buy tickets starting October 9. Membership begins with an annual contribution of $35 or more. Tickets go on sale to the general public on October 23. To purchase tickets, visit fmct.org or call 701.235.6778.

Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that has been producing live theatre in the area for over 70 years. FMCT strives to engage and enrich the community by producing quality pieces of theatre that inspire discussion and participation from community members, both on and off stage.

Please note, FMCT is offering a 10am performance on Saturday, November 11 as well as a 7:30pm performance. This is a new addition we are offering, hoping to cater to families that would benefit from an earlier performance.
