Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT) presents A CHRISTMAS STORY: THE MUSICAL on December 7, 8, 13-15, 20-22 at 7:30pm and December 9 & 16 at 2pm at The Stage at Island Park.
Based on the perennial holiday movie favorite, A CHRISTMAS STORY: THE MUSICAL chronicles young and bespectacled Ralphie Parker as he schemes his way toward the holiday gift of his dreams, an official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle ("You'll shoot your eye out kid!").
An iconic leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a maniacal department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the distractions that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas wish in this delightful musical adaptation by the songwriting team behind stage and screen hits Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman.
This new holiday classic features a sprawling, multi-generational ensemble who play Ralphie and friends, and the adults who seem to keep getting in their way. Lori Koenig directs a fun, fantasy-filled musical adventure. Lovers of the original film and newcomers alike are bound to fall for this family-friendly romp.
Audio description will be available on December 8. Assistive listening devices are available to patrons at the FMCT Box Office for all performances.
Tickets go on sale Monday, November 19. Become a FMCT Member for access to pre-sale ticket two weeks before the general public. For all ticketing and membership information, visit fmct.org or call 701.235.6778.
