As a sequel to last season’s THE VICTORIAN LADIES’ DETECTIVE COLLECTIVE, this production
will utilize the same cast. We will consider submissions for replacements/understudies.

SEEKING:

LOVEDAY FORTESCUE: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy) (40s-50s; female presenting) - a former actress. A proto-feminist, who is intellectual, philosophical, and dramatic. Once, literally gaslighted, which nearly finished her. Victorian era expectations of women infuriate and preoccupy her.

VALERIA HUNTER: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy) (50s- 60s; female presenting) - a widow, cat lady and Loveday's sister, who owns the Hunter Lodging House. Somewhat nervous but overcomes this when her services are required.

KATHERINE (KATIE) SMALLS: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy) (late 20s-40s; female presenting) - a biracial American ex-patriot and entertainer at The St. James Theatre. Born in Virginia, later moved to become an actress in New York, then relocated to London. Trained in various martial arts & fighting techniques. Badass American, determined, matter-of-fact.

MAN 1: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy) (40s-50s; male presenting) GHOST OF POLICE CONSTABLE HENRY CRANE – Spooky & haunting; BANDERFORD CLUTTERBUCK – a mutton-chopped opportunist who cheats at card; FLORIAN VON GRABSTETTER – a Viennese asylum doctor; REGINALD PHILLIPS – an auteur acting manager; and MISS ROSAMUND SMITH/FINEAS FERNSBY - non-gender-conforming cross-dressing lady’s maid, talented illusionist and cracksman.
