Breakdown
SEEKING:
ZIEGFELD’S FAVORITE: (late 20’s/early 30’s) The epitome of the Ziegfeld Follies showgirl. Gorgeous, statuesque (at least 6’ tall in heels), with a knockout figure that looks great wearing 'next to nuthin’'' as Will says. A singer/dancer/actor with great comic timing… she is warm, inviting, and super sexy. Needs to sing and dance very well…tap a plus. Range: G3-Bb4
CLEM ROGERS: (55-65) Will’s Oklahoma rancher father who is overjoyed to finally have a boy after siring six girls. A real ''cowboy'' with tons of personality…needs a true old school song and dance man with great comic chops. Sings extremely well, and has some dance skills as he’s the star of two of our ''Ziegfeld Follies'' numbers with a bevy of girls (would be great if he’s a ''hoofer'' who can throw down some fancy tap steps as well!) Range: B2-E4
FEMALE ENSEMBLE: ensemble of gorgeous, leggy Ziegfeld Follies showgirls…all must sing well (good with harmonies), and all must be excellent tappers. As Will says at one point…''now the girls change from nuthin’ to…nuthin’'' so all need terrific bodies and must look great in midriff baring costumes (please wear midriff-baring clothing for audition) Height requirement for female ensemble: 5’5'' - 5’10'' (without heels) Range: one soprano soloist to Bb5
MALE ENSEMBLE: ''The Cowboy Quartet''…a singing, dancing barbershop quartet of idealized Ziegfeld Follies ''cowboys'' These guys are the cowboys only Ziegfeld would dream up…impossibly tall and handsome singer/dancers with killer bodies (all the guys appear in only a loincloth at one point in the show) who are Will’s backup quartet throughout. All must be excellent tappers and highly skilled singers who hold their own part the entire evening. Height requirement for the Cowboy Quartet: 5’11'' and up (in bare feet) Ranges: 1) Tenor- to C5 (high C), 2 ) Lead-to A4, 3) Bari-to G4, 4) Bass-Bb2-C4
