BREAKDOWN
Synopsis: Syd is a lifetime New York Metropolitan baseball fan. His wife, Myrna hates baseball and the effect that it has on her husband. Desperate for support and understanding, Syd begins a conversation with the host of a New York Sports Radio station.
Syd/Alfonso/Ethan:
50's. Actor must be baseball fan, familiar with Sports Radio small talk. Boroughs accent. Sid, lead, culturally Jewish fellow from Queens. Alfonso (Voice Over) is an Italian American from the Bronx and Ethan (Voice Over) is a patrician who also happens to be a sports fan. Alfonso and Ethan will be voice overs. Sid is on stage.
Myrna:
50's. Culturally Jewish woman from Queens. More interested in Soap Operas, her nails and hair than sports. Resentful of her husband's addiction to sports.
Tony:
40's The sports radio host. Very knowledgeable about sports and baseball in particular. He has no patience for callers who don't get to the point.
Adrienne:
30's. A young woman who happens to be a fanatical baseball fan and expects to be taken seriously when she makes a call to Sports Radio
