Margaret Dashwood: CAST. The youngest Dashwood sister; playful, spirited, eager. Female identifying. Young teenager.
Mrs. Dashwood: Mother to the Dashwood sisters; recently widowed. Loving, upbeat, good-humored. Female-identifying. 40s-60s.
John Dashwood: Elder half-brother to the Dashwood sisters (from their father’s side); no blood relation to Mrs. Dashwood. Not unkind, but easily misled. Male-identifying. 20s-30s
Fanny (Ferrars) Dashwood: Wife to John Dashwood, sister to Edward and Robert. Conniving, strong-willed, nasty. Female-identifying. 20s-30s
Edward Ferrars: Brother to Robert and Fanny; a gentleman, a bachelor. Introverted, kind, earnest, awkward. Late 20s-early 40s. Male-Identifying.
Robert Ferrars: Younger brother to Edward and Fanny; a callow, silly, young man. 20s-30s. Male Identifying.
Colonel Brandon: middle-aged bachelor; worldly, honorable, loyal. 30s-40s. Male-identifying.
John Willoughby: a handsome, charming, and dashing young man. Good humored. Aloof. 20s. Male Identifying.

Anne Steele: Lucy’s sister; indiscreet, jealous, and slightly dim-witted. Late teens to early twenties. Female-Identifying.
The Gossips: (various ages, any gender) A chorus of high-society creatures; always watching, observing, judging, delighting. “Not necessarily malicious.”

WADSWORTH: (Male-Identifying) A traditional British butler in every sense: uptight, formal, and “by the book.” He is the driving force in the play.
YVETTE: CAST (Female-Identifying) A sexy, French Maid, with secret aspirations. (Also doubles as THE REPORTER in the final scene).
MISS SCARLET: (Female-Identifying) A dry, sardonic D.C. Madam who is more interested in secrets than sex.
MRS. PEACOCK: (Female-Identifying) The church-going wife of a Senator. A bit batty, neurotic, and quick to hysteria.
MRS. WHITE: CAST (Female-Identifying) A pale, morbid, and tragic woman. Mrs. White may or may not be the murderer of her five ex-husbands.
COLONEL MUSTARD: CAST (Male-Identifying) A puffy, pompous, dense, blow-hard of a military man.
PROFESSOR PLUM: (Male-Identifying) An academic Casanova who woos women with his big …brain.
MR. GREEN: (Male-Identifying) A timid, yet officious, rule follower. He’s a bit of a klutz and awfully anxious.
ENSEMBLE #1: to play:
THE COOK: A threatening presence.
THE MOTORIST: A benign gentleman who rings the wrong doorbell.
AUXILIARY SCARLET: The back of Miss Scarlet during a scene of theatrical trickery. AUXILIARY WADSWORTH: Wadsworth during two scenes of theatrical trickery.
AN AGENT: An FBI agent who helps to save the day.
ENSEMBLE #2: to play:
MR. BODDY: A mobster type fella. A dark cloud follows this guy wherever he goes. THE COP: A “Regular Joe.”
AUXILIARY MUSTARD: The back of Colonel Mustard during a scene of theatrical trickery. AUXILIARY WADSWORTH: Wadsworth during two scenes of theatrical trickery.
AN AGENT: An FBI agent who helps to save the day.
ENSEMBLE #3 to play:
THE “BROKEN DOWN CAR” COP: a regular Joe. (Alive and Dead.) BACKUP COP, backup for the chief.
