Breakdown

LEILA:
30’s to early 40’s. Egyptian (born and raised in Cairo, came to the U.S. for college, so she does speak with a dialect), extremely bright, attractive, and passionate. Leila is a gifted writer who is about to release her first, significant novel. She is both sensual and uptight. A bit of a firebrand politically, she is determined to take on the status quo in the Arab world, and cause change. She can also be quite funny. [Think Huma Abedin crossed with Susan Sarandon, mixed with Gloria Steinem.] - NUDITY REQUIRED

RASHID:
30’s to early 40’s. Egyptian-American (born and raised in the U.S., so no dialect) photographer. Bright, attractive, engaged, sensual. Intellectually adventurous – he enjoys a good debate. But as American as his life is in many ways, when push comes to shove, the traditional thinking of his family exerts enormous pressure on his behavior. - A FAIR AMOUNT OF UNDRESS

DOUG:
late 20’s to late 30’s. American photographer. Attractive and fit-ish (whatever that means), Doug is both bright and a bundle of neuroses. He was an embedded photographer during a prior stint in the Middle East, so is both familiar with and fascinated by Arab culture. He also struggles with self-esteem issues and can get overly sensitive. So he may very well appear like the all-American guy, but is kind of a verbal car wreck. - NUDITY REQUIRED
