Breakdown

From the Tony Award-winning creators of PASSING STRANGE comes a new musical about a black gospel prodigy from down South and a white music producer from South London who meet in a recording studio south of the Twilight Zone, as they both desperately seek their own versions of transcendence, salvation, and a hit record.

Seeking 2 Actors for the following 2 roles:

ABEE and ANDREW:
Mid 20’s-Early 30’s. African-American. Marty’s longtime friends, one is a bus driver and the other drives a cab. They are working class guys with their roots in Black sacred music and unlikely as it may be, they are drafted to sing in Marty’s band where they develop an immediate and visceral relationship with the audience. Not slick, with humor and energy. Seeking versatile Singer/Actors with a strong rock sound and a feel for Gospel/church music. The ability to learn music quickly is a big plus.
