SEEKING:
AYAH
Female, Indian, 18-30; (Range: Mezzo-Soprano). Mary’s Indian nanny. Ayah, a member of the “Dreamers,” appears and haunts Mary during flashbacks from her life in India. Will also serve as a member of the ensemble
FAKIR
Male, Middle Eastern, 18-40; (Range: Tenor, C3-B4). Fakir is a member of the “Dreamers” – characters from Mary’s life in India, who haunt her during flashback scenes.
FEMALE ENSEMBLE
Female, Any ethnicity, 35-45; (Range: Soprano). Must sing AND act well. Will play Mrs. Winthrop, the headmistress that comes to take Mary Lennox away, and serve as a member of the ensemble.
