Seeking Exceptional actors with solid voice and movement training adept at Shakespeare. If you play an instrument, we may incorporate your skills into the production. A sense of humor is mandatory. see breakdown.
Preparation Prepare one 2-3 Minute Shakespeare monologue. Bring picture and resume.

The REAL Merry HOUSE Wives of Windsor, CT., is Shakespeare's Merry Wives of Windsor cut down to a fast-paced 90 minutes and set in modern suburbia, using Reality TV as a reference point. The words are all the Bard's. SEEKING: FALSTAFF portly man about town, slightly down on his luck but never down on himself NYM one of Falstaff's retinue (female or male) PISTOL another "friend" to Falstaff (female or male) MRS. FORD a housewife in Connecticut MRS. PAGE a housewife in Connecticut FORD (also in disguise as BROOK) - extremely jealous husband to Mrs. Ford PAGE extremely hospitable and possibly gullible husband to Mrs. Page ANNE PAGE the Pages' daughter looking for marriage and a ticket away from the burbs HUGH EVANS the local minister, originally from Wales, UK, his dialect is a Welsh rare bit o'English SLENDER a reluctant suitor to Anne DR. CAIUS another suitor to Anne, originally from Quebec, his dialect is fractured Frenglish FENTON the love of Anne's life, somewhat androgynous MRS. QUICKLY the town gossip and supposed matchmaker SIMPLE and RUGBY two townies who do odd jobs (male or female) SOME CASTING OF WOMEN IN TRADITIONAL MEN'S ROLES Theater 2020 is committed to non-traditional casting and encourages participation by performers of all races and ethnicities!
