Available Roles:
RAIF ALMEDIN:
40's-50's. Married to Naja. A first-generation immigrant novelist from the Middle East or North Africa. Brilliant and intimidating. gruff, smart, a bit arch, and totally Westernized. A highly cultured, flexible intellect matched by a fierce certainty and love of his family.
EMINA:
21. Raif and Naja's younger daughter. Born in the United States to parents of Middle Eastern or North African descent. A college student - willful, smart, and in love. Her father's daughter in many ways, but beginning to forge her own identity.
AISA:
25. Raif and Naja's eldest daughter. Born in the United States to parents of Middle Eastern or North African descent. A modern dancer moonlighting as a bartender - cynical, sharp-tongued, sexy, damaged. Also plays DANIA: Peter and Carmen's daughter. Shy, exceedingly polite, very observant.
CARMEN:
40's-50's. Married to Peter. A more recent immigrant to the U.S. from the Middle East. Reserved, traditional, but very warm and willing to bend the rules for the sake of her children.
SAM:
22. Peter and Carmen's son. Born in the United States to parents of Middle Eastern descent. A college student, just starting to think about becoming his own man - charming, conflicted, and earnest.

PETER OSMAN:
(Role CAST) 40's-50's. Married to Carmen. A business owner, and a more recent immigrant to the U.S from the Middle East. He is gregarious, funny, and sincere in his hard-won beliefs.
NAJA:
(Role CAST) 40's-50's. Married to Raif. A first-generation immigrant from the Middle East. A former prima ballerina, now a dance instructor - soulful, intelligent, graceful, and long suffering.
