Breakdown

MORRIS
ROLE CAST. 30ish. Female. A detective. Very smart, articulate, forceful, clear-sighted, aggressive, inquisitive. There is something simultaneously vulnerable and unknowable about her. (This role is cast but we will be seeing actors for possible understudies.)

SIMS
40s or 50s. Male. A businessman. His initial impression is deceptively mild. Do not be deceived.

DOYLE
60. Male. A professor. Rather a gentle soul but can be quite defensive and prickly when cornered. Articulate in a professorial way, dignified and professional in bearing.

IRIS
Female. Seeking an actress roughly 11 to 13 to play younger. She is impetuous, funny, charming, fresh, full of vitality and curiosity.

WOODNUT
Early 30’s. Male. Appealing, well-spoken and well-mannered, handsome. Your favorite young uncle.
