[HAROLD HILL]
Male, late 30s to late 40s. An attractive, charming, dynamic leading man. An energetic conman with great warmth and personality who comes to River City posing as a travelling salesman. Should move well. Seeking an actor of great skill and depth with a warmth and charisma that is also evident in a top-tier singing voice. Baritone.
[MARIAN PAROO]
Female, 30s. The steadfast and guarded town librarian and music teacher. A classic leading lady, she is beautiful, intelligent and well read. Repressed and strong-willed, but warm and vulnerable under the surface. Seeking an actor of great skill and depth with a warmth and charisma that is also evident in a top-tier singing voice. Legit soprano to an A.
[MARCELLUS WASHBURN]
Male 30s to 40s. A former conman and friend of Harold’s who now lives in River City. Likable, energetic and well meaning, he helps Harold with the con. This role requires a strong comedic actor. Should move well. Tenor to an A.
[EULALIE MACKECHNIE SHINN]
Female, 40s-50s. An immensely likeable character actress with great comedic timing. Mayor Shinn’s wife, she is a gossipy society lady who knows everyone in town. Snooty and judgmental but eccentric and outlandish at times. Should move well. Alto to a D.
[TOMMY DJILAS]
Male, over 18 to play a teenager. He is the town “bad boy” who is secretly dating Zaneeta, the Mayor’s daughter. Must be an exceptional dancer with strong technique who sings well (B2-A4).
[EWART DUNLOP/SALESMAN]
Male late 20s – 50s. A bickering member of the School Board who Harold manipulates into a Barbershop Quartet as a distraction. Will also play a travelling salesman. Strong singer who is comfortable with tight harmonies – choral or a capella experience preferred. Baritone/Baritenor.

Male late 20s – 50s. A bickering member of the School Board who Harold manipulates into a Barbershop Quartet as a distraction. Will also play a travelling salesman. Strong singer who is comfortable with tight harmonies – choral or a capella experience preferred. Baritone.

Male late 20s – 50s. A bickering member of the School Board who Harold manipulates into a Barbershop Quartet as a distraction. Will also play a travelling salesman. Strong singer who is comfortable with tight harmonies – choral or a capella experience preferred. High Tenor.
[OLIN BRITT/SALESMAN]
Male late 20s – 50s. A bickering member of the School Board who Harold manipulates into a Barbershop Quartet as a distraction. Will also play a travelling salesman. Strong singer who is comfortable with tight harmonies – choral or a capella experience preferred. Bass.
[GRACIE SHINN / DANCER]
(theatre intends to cast a Non-AEA actor for this track) Female, over 18 to play a young teenager. Mayor Shinn’s youngest daughter who will also be part of the ensemble. Must be a very strong dancer and singer (A3-C5).
