Breakdown

Jackie:
-New York Puerto Rican. Late 30s. Former drug dealer with a heart of gold. A follower and a victim.
-Ex-Con on parole, former addict.
-Anxious, jealous, volatile
-Wants a better life but his temper gets in the way

Veronica:
-New York Puerto Rican. Late 30s. From the Bronx. Jackie’s girlfriend.
-She looks good and she knows it
-An addict: destructive and insecure. Tough.
-A whole lot of mouth, not a lot of sense. Volatile and impulsive.
-Fast-talking and manipulating

Ralph D:
-Ethnicity Open. Mid 40s. AA Sponsor ex-addict. Deeply deluded.
-Charming, smooth, manipulative and self-satisfied
-Capable of violence. New-age, Self-help veneer.

Cousin Julio:
-New York Puerto Rican. Late 30s.
-Fastidious, effeminate, has a great body
-Street savvy and capable of violence
-Prides himself on his Van Damme-like fighting abilities and physique, as well as his refined cooking abilities
-Intensely loyal to his cousin Jackie. Very direct and up-front.
-recovering sex addict

Victoria:
-Ethnicity Open. Late 30s. Former wall street junior trader.
-Attractive but has a lack of self-esteem because of her husband
-Smart, funny, tough and assertive
-recovering alcoholic
-Has been numbing herself with Ben and Jerry and cable TV, and believes that she has about ten more minutes of gravity left before it all comes crashing down.
