Breakdown

Two families and a community must confront the aftermath of a tragedy and take action to make a change. This bilginual (Spanish / English) play is based on true stories of Santa Ana, California as told by the residents, in collaboration with South Coast Repertory playwright-in-residence José Cruz González. This production is focused on collaborating with the community of Sant Ana and will include professionals to people with little to no experience in theatre. The Long Road Today/El Largo Camino de Hoy is part of SCR’s Dialogue/Diálogos project, with community partner Latino Health Access. Dialogue/Diálogos is supported by a grant from The James Irvine Foundation, as part of its Exploring Engagement Fund for Large Organizations.
