Runs October 10 (preview) Opens October 11th-25th (weekends only/nine shows).
Rehearses in NYC for 3 weeks, daytime: 26 hours max weekly.

Breakdown

When a popular, moderate Senator is tapped to serve as the running mate for a conservative Presidential candidate, his life takes a major turn. As an agnostic, he is asked to appear more “Christian” for an appealing ticket. Will he or won’t he lie on the campaign trail in order to get the job? This poses a dilemma for his marriage and asks the ethical question: Does the public have the right to know everything about a candidate’s private beliefs? Hudson Stage Company is in its 17th year and is Westchester County’s premiere, professional nonprofit theatre dedicated to producing exciting original and contemporary plays that are affordable for audiences.

NOTE: While the following 2 male roles are currently available, theatre indicates that at the time of this posting, offers have been made, but not yet accepted.

Tom:
40’s, white. Very possibly a future President of the United States – a Republican JFK. Smart, confident, effortlessly charismatic; great sense of humor, and comfortable in his own skin. He and Lisa – his wife of 20 years – are still hot for each other.

Matt:
40s, any ethnicity. The smartest guy in the room. A Republican campaign advisor, he loves his job and is one of the best. Although not in the closet, as a gay man working for a conservative candidate, he presents as straight . Big on charm, he’s the guy that all the girls were in love with in college.
