ELIZABETH - Female, middle thirties. Firm, patient, loyal. She was full of vitality in her youth, but her spirit and faith has been worn by motherhood and her husband's infidelity. Actors of all ethnicities strongly encouraged to submit.

PROCTOR - Male, middle thirties, powerful of body. A man in his prime with an even-temper, quiet confidence and an unexpressed hidden force. Not easily led, but he is tormented by his potential for temptation and past sins. Actors of all ethnicities strongly encouraged to submit.
