BREAKDOWN
Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical
mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and

protest wing of the American civil rights movement who went on to become a highly visible politician, spokesman, and religious leader during the latter half of the twentieth century.
Claudine Jasper: Black female, 60s, Wife of Sunny.
Solomon “Junior” Jasper Jr.: [THIS ROLE IS CAST] Black male, 40s, Sunny and Claudine’s eldest son
and Sunny’s namesake, also a politician, has returned from prison, where he was serving time for
white-collar crimes.
Nazareth “Naz” Jasper: [THIS ROLE IS CAST] Black male, 30s, Sunny and Claudine’s youngest son,
who lives in Seattle and works in tech, has dropped in to participate in the homecoming of his brother
Morgan Jasper: [THIS ROLE IS CAST] Black female, 40s, Married to Junior. About to go to prison for
the white-collar crimes of which her husband was also convicted

and doing the right thing, but wants everyone to feel part of the collaboration so much that it derails
the actual play.
Caden: Male, 30s-50s. Caucasian looking, the academic. Teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School
System with dramatic aspirations but no clue how things work on stage.
Jaxton: Male, 30-40s. Caucasian looking, the LA surfer actor. Politically correct to a fault, a big one. He’s that guy everyone loves, but his logical PC thinking takes weird turns.
Alicia: Female, 20s-early 30s. brunette Caucasian but has looks that would have been cast as ethnic
in 1950’s movies. Looks like she’s from Los Angeles. Not bright. That actress whose every script note
ends with her being allocated more lines.
