No roles will be understudied.
Please prepare two monologues one comedic one dramatic, each no longer than 60 seconds OR prepare one comedic no longer than 60 seconds and sixteen bars. Please provide two copies of your headshot and resume. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

Mrs. Helen Armstrong - managerial in voice and manner, woman 50-60
Mrs. Slocum - pleasant woman, 35 - 60
Mrs. McCarthy - less impervious version of Mrs. Armstrong, mid 40’s
Reverend Hopkins - mid to late 40’s

LILLY - spirited, curious, worried 10 year old girl. Deep down, in a way she doesn't know yet, she is a brave and adventurous person.
MOM/ LIBRARY PATRON/MILLICENT MURRAY - 30s scientist, slightly distracted but loving mom,
DAD/REDHEART - 30s scientist, slightly distracted but loving dad. As Red Heart the pirate, he can be scary and unpredictable
MRS. TEAGARDEN - 30-50 Fun-loving, adventuresome, big-hearted, and also a pirate.
UNCLE EARNEST/WILLIAM BARNACLE - 30-50 As Uncle Earnest, he is meek and retiring, socially awkward. As Barnacle, he is confident, swashbuckling, a lover of books and knowledge. A pirate, but very much his own kind of pirate.
