Bring two copies of your headshot and resume to the audition and prepare a brief cut of a musical theater song. Make sure your sheet music is in the correct key for the accompanist. A newcomer from New York - “Harold Hill” type. Baritone with a touch of “Rock & Roll” or Jerry Lewis to solid high E-flat. 40-ish. Has major sex appeal. Women become hypnotized by his manner and charm. He breaks all the rules and wins all the women over.

Town gossip. Eastwick’s First Lady. She doesn’t have class but thinks she does. Veneer of happiness is always on. She has money. Does not have a close relationship with her daughter. She is the self appointed leader of society and has an unshakeable belief that she knows what is best for the town. Her brand of dictatorship is dispersed with a saccharine sweetness. She takes an instant dislike to Darryl on his arrival in Eastwick and becomes his nemesis.

Accustomed to acting in a certain way to keep her mother happy. Felicia has tried to mold her into a “Barbie” doll for whom she will find the perfect “Ken”-it isn’t going to be Michael.

Character Baritone
Felicia’s Husband. A pathetic downtrodden man, who realizes he is trapped in a loveless marriage. He is having an affair with Sukie. However, your sympathies are with him because of the relationship he has with his wife. He is hen-pecked but stays with Felicia because it is easier too; he fears her. She is also in control of all their money which demoralizes him as a man. Has a good relationship with his daughter. Good voice but not a huge range.

Darryl’s servant Singing is not an essential-age immaterial. Physical extremes of exotic looks. Bizarre as Darryl says, “Not of this world.”

Joe’s wife. Belt Soprano with good headstones or mix-30s. She is a very sexy character. Big Felician crony. One of the Felicia trio. Volunteers in the library and has the hots for Toby.
BRENDA PARSLEY
Ed’s wife. Belt soprano with legit sound. 40s. Minister’s wife. Lacquered hair. Busybody. Takes over running the town once Felicia is killed. Part of the Felicia Trio.
GRETA NEFF
Raymond’s wife. Belt Mezzo with good head tones or mix - 30s. One of Felicia’s cronies. Church, city council and housewife. All the ladies come to her house for the lacquered hair look. Married to Raymond, the school principal, and runs a string quartet.
JOE MARINO
Gina’s Husband, a construction worker. Tenor-30s. Handsome and fancied by many of the townswomen. Good actor/singer.
RAYMOND NEFF
Greta’s husband, a school principal. Tenor - 30s. Mousey school principal - is quite camp.
TOBY BERGMAN
Works at the library restocking the bookshelves. Lyric Tenor with belt - 20’s. Contemporary of Michael’s. Just out of high school. Handsome/cute.
ED PARSLEY
Minister of the town church. Baritone - 40’s. A good man but been in the church too long. Not in touch with his faith anymore-just doing it as a job, not as a calling. It’s convenient for him and it is too late to start over.
REBECCA
Waitress at Nemo’s Diner. Mezzo
CLAIRE
An ordinary young schoolgirl. A “Young Cosette” type Soprano- Over 16 but looks much younger. Needs to be the clean slate of the town women. She has not been painted like the rest.
MABEL OGDEN
Frank’s Wife. A Bank teller. Soprano-30’s. Married 10-12 years. Frank & Mabel were High School sweethearts. Knits in her spare time making baby sweaters for newborns in Eastwick.
MARCY WILLS
Jennifer’s friend. Cashier at the grocery store. Soprano-Late teens, early 20s. Still in high school. One year behind Jennifer. Has a huge crush on Michael. Kind of slow and has unreasonable expectations for her life. She started at the store as a summer job and will be there the rest of her life.
FRANNY LOVECRAFT
Proprietor of a local crafts store. Mezzo-40s or older. Has lived in Eastwick all her life. Current day hippy-very bohemian. Alexandra could possibly grow up to be like her. No strong alliances to either side of the town. Takes in all the stray animals.
EUDORA BRYCE
A retired seamstress. Mezzo-40s older. She is a Widow and has enough money to live. Takes a walk every day. Knows everyone’s business. Quite eccentric. Lives in her house with lots of cats.
CURTIS HALLEYBRED
A clerk at the hardware store. Friend of Michael’s. Tenor-Late Teens/early 20s. Graduated from high school and is working at the hardware store. Was a homecoming King. He peaked in High School. Realizes life isn’t that great. Was an item with Mavis in High School.
HOMER PERLY
A Real estate Agent. Tenor- 30s. He and Marge are a husband & wife duo. Lets Marge run with all the contacts. Does the books and keeps business running. Been in Eastwick ten years.
DR HENRY PATTERSON
Town physician. Baritone - 40s or older. Is privy to everything but doesn't tell. Widower.

A lost soul but with great strength, pride, determination, and dignity; as the story progresses, she begins to discover her sense of self and the possibility that she may be the missing daughter of Tsar Nicholas; not looking for a fairy tale princess; when Anya is transformed into the beautiful Anastasia it should have the same effect and surprise as Eliza Doolittle entering the ball; soprano with great belt; A3-Eb4.
Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna (CAST)
Female 55-70
The formidable and imperious grandmother of Anastasia; Anastasia is her favorite grandchild and she loves her with all her heart; she never truly gives up the belief that her granddaughter might be alive, but finally after years of enduring Anastasia pretenders she becomes hardened and bitter; it is only when she meets Anya that her old spirit begins to return; even when she knows that Anya may not be Anastasia, she realizes that we all need our dreams and we need the truth; elegance, beauty, and a regal bearing; alto very comfortable with singing; vocal range: F3-Bb4.
Countess Lily Malevsky-Malevitch
Female 35-45
The lady in waiting to the Dowager Empress. She has been by the Dowager’s side since before the revolution. Lily is clever, dutiful, and above all fun She deals with her exile from Russia with a sort of resigned dark humor…and a lot of vodka. She and Vlad were once an item unbeknownst to her oblivious husband and re-kindle their romance upon reuniting. Mezzo G3-C5
Dimitry
Male 25-30
An opportunist trying to make it on the streets of Russia by selling stolen objects from the Tsarist past; he is the prince of St. Petersburg's black market; he creates the scheme to find an Anastasia impersonator in order to gain the reward for her safe return; he is smooth, persuasive, and a real operator; must have a sense of danger, edginess, and sex appeal; not a typical romantic leading man, although he and Anya eventually fall in love; baritenor; vocal range: A2-A4.
Vlad Popov
Male 40-55
Before the revolution Vlad was a minor functionary at the imperial court; he is Dmitry's right-hand man and because of his romantic relationship with Lily he arranges a meeting between Anya and the Dowager Empress; has wit, style, and be panache; baritone; vocal range: A2-F4.
Gleb Vaganov
Male 35-40
A member of the Chekist secret police; a zealot with tremendous intensity and a dangerous sexuality; as the play progresses, we see him rise in power and position within the political party; he is in love with Anya but would not be above killing her if necessary; baritenor; vocal range: A2-Gb4.

A famous singer/actress who is at the top of her game. Sexy, confident and self-sufficient. Must be an exceptional powerhouse singer (Whitney Houston). G3 to F5 (belt); very comfortable with pop rock, gospel, etc.

Frank Farmer Male. 25-35
A former C.I.A. agent, physically fit, lithe and athletic; sharp witted and instinctive; handsome and charismatic. He radiates a silent strength, an American alpha man type. Frank sings one song in a karaoke style. NOTE: He need not be a major singer, just have the confidence to sing in front of a theatre audience.

Nicki Marron Female 25-35
Rachel's older sister, late 30s; a very talented singer who has taken a back seat to her sister’s rising star. Quiet type but attractive. A very strong singer. Nicki has a very soulful, gospel-tinged voice. She sings ballads in the show and has a warm resonance, excellent pitch and an ability to riff. Range from G below middle C to E at top of staff.
