Please prepare a one 1-minute contemporary monologue and a maximum of 32-bars of a song (bring sheet music). An accompanist will be provided. Also, bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

A diverse ensemble of singers with a high level of musicianship, who move well. Including:
GRACE BANKER – Female, 25. Soprano / Mix. Poised and articulate, with a core of steely strength that makes itself apparent as she grows into her role as leader. The leader of the squadron that went to the front, who received the Distinguished Service Medal. From Passaic, New Jersey. Graduated from Barnard in 1915 and worked at AT&T as a telephone operator and supervisor before joining the army. French language a plus.
SUZANNE “THE WILDCAT” PREVÔT — Female, 24. Mezzo / Folk Belt. From New York City. Feisty, sardonic, tough talking. A close friend of Grace’s from AT&T who holds her accountable to her ideals and advocates for change. French language fluency / high proficiency a plus.
LOUISE LE BRETON – Female, 18. Soprano. Born in France, from San Francisco. Fearless, flirty, headstrong and often insubordinate; she lies about her age to join the army. French accent and fluency / high proficiency a plus.
HELEN HILL – Female, 22. Mezzo. From outside Boise, Idaho. A small-town farm girl from a family of 17 children with a mother who speaks French. Sweet, over-enthusiastic, wholesomely kooky and prone to nervous panic. French fluency / high proficiency a plus.
BERTHA HUNT – Female, 33. Alto. From San Francisco. Married to a Navy doctor who is also serving abroad. Older, wiser, reliable – The Den Mother. Extremely knowledgeable about military matters. French language and ability to play the piano a plus.
CAPTAIN JOSEPH W. RISER – Male, 30-35. Baritone. The Signal Corps commanding officer who recruits and trains the women, and journeys with them to the front. A career army man, a stickler for rules and order, he is skeptical of the women’s presence in the army, even as his own success relies on theirs. He develops a close working relationship with Grace.
LIEUTENANT ERNEST WESSEN & OTHERS – Male, 20s-30s. Tenor. Head of the American recruiting center for the Signal Corps. Doubles as various other servicemen.
PRIVATE EUGENE MATTERSON & OTHERS – Male, 20s-30s. Tenor. An enlisted man for the Signal Corps, who works closely with Lt. Riser. Doubles as various other servicemen.
PRIVATE ROBERT DEMPSEY & OTHERS – Male, 20s–30s. Baritone. A Signal Corps operator at the central Paris Telephone Exchange. Doubles as various other servicemen and character roles.
GENERAL JOHN PERSHING & OTHERS – Male, 50s. Baritone. Commander of the American Expeditionary Forces. Hard, relentless, inflexible, with a deep sense of honor and American individualism and identity – but also cares deeply about the troops serving under his command.

ELSA: Female, Any Ethnicity, 20s-early 30s. Next in line for the throne and has been born with magical powers that can overwhelm her when she becomes afraid and harm others if not handled with care. Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn as she grows older, before eventually learning to manage and become confident in her powers. (Vocal range: F#3 to D5)
ANNA: Female, Any Ethnicity, 20s. She is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert, but as she grows older, she longs for connection with others, especially her sister, Elsa. A strong singer with great comic timing. (Vocal range: G3 to D5)
KRISTOFF: Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s. A hardworking ice harvester who has a sarcastic veneer and a rough-around-the-edges exterior that hides a big heart. He is a bit of a loner with a reindeer for a best friend until he meets Anna. (Vocal range: G2 to A3)
HANS: Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s. The ambitious Prince of the Southern Isles and overlooked thirteenth son of a king. He boasts an exceedingly charming facade that fools everyone - including Anna. (Vocal range: G2 to B3)
OLAF: Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s. The magical snowman created by Anna and Elsa when they were young. Olaf should possess a childlike innocence and excellent comic timing. (Vocal range: F#2 to D4) NOTE: This role requires advanced puppeteering skills.
SVEN: Male, Any Ethnicity, 20s–40s. A lovable reindeer of few words who is a fiercely loyal pal to Kristoff. NOTE: This role requires advanced puppeteering skills.
PABBIE: Male, Any Ethnicity. 30s-40s. One of the mystical leaders of the Hidden Folk.
BULDA: Female, Any Ethnicity. 30s-40s. One of the mystical leaders of the Hidden Folk.
WESELTON: Male, Any Ethnicity, 50s. A visiting duke who possesses a huge inferiority complex. A bombastic, overbearing sycophant, Weselton's sole purpose is to suck up to influencers and royalty. (Vocal range: F#2 to D4)
BISHOP: Male, Any Ethnicity. 40s-50s. The bishop who officiates the coronation and passing of the crown to Elsa.
KING AGNARR: Male, Any Ethnicity. 30s-40s. The warm-hearted ruler of Arendelle who is committed to protecting both his family and the Townspeople from his eldest daughter's powers.
QUEEN IDUNA: Female, Any Ethnicity. 30s-40s. The queen who possesses a sense of rightness and kindness that guides her in her protection of her two young girls. A daughter of the Northern Nomads, this queen can communicate with the Hidden Folk of the mountains and therefore understands Elsa's powers deeply.
OAKEN: Male, Any Ethnicity. 20s-40s. An exceedingly cheerful and convivial wandering salesperson and ardent devotee to all things cozy and comfortable.
YOUNG ELSA: Female, Any Ethnicity, Age 11-12. Bright, poised, elder princess of Arendelle who adores her younger sister, she aims to be the perfect daughter, but wrestles with a dangerous talent. Soprano.
YOUNG ANNA: Female, Any Ethnicity, Age 8–9. Energetic, free-spirited younger princess of Arendelle who dotes on every word and movement of Elsa; she is heartbroken when she is isolated from Elsa by their parents; soprano.
ENSEMBLE: male and female identifying, who are true triple threats to play townspeople, hidden folk, snow dancers, etc.
