ENSEMBLE, MONSIGNOR O’HARA, ERNIE – (40-60) Monsignor - One of the heads of the convent. Constantly cornered with financial matters, though Deloris’ music surprisingly puts him in a different mood. Vocal Range: E3 – G4. Ernie - One of Curtis’ gangsters. Initially thought to be a mindless yes-man, he turns out to be an undercover police informant.
ENSEMBLE, TJ – (20s, Black, African American) Curtis’ nephew and one of his gangsters. Deft and cognizant of the fact, constantly in a state of ignorant bliss. Vocal Range: Db3 – Eb5. Understudies Eddie.
ENSEMBLE, JOEY – (30-40) One of Curtis’ gangsters. Believes himself to be quite the charmer. Vocal Range: Bb2 – Eb5. Understudies Curtis.
ENSEMBLE, PABLO – (25-40, Latinx, Hispanic) One of Curtis’ gangsters. A natural follower. Speaks Spanish. Vocal Range: C4 – F5.
ENSEMBLE, SISTER MARY MARTIN-OF-TOURS – (35-50) A nun of the convent. Clearly in her own world but has her moments of surprising clarity. Understudies Sister Mary Patrick.
ENSEMBLE, SISTER MARY THERESA – (60-70) A nun of the convent, the oldest of the group. Feeble at a glance but secretly packs a punch. Understudies Mother Superior.
ENSEMBLE, MICHELLE – (20-30, Black, African American) One of Deloris’ back-up singers. Brassy and always quick with a retort. Vocal Range: Bb3 – F5. Understudies Deloris.
ENSEMBLE, TINA, WAITRESS – (20s) One of Deloris’ back-up singers. Naïve. Vocal Range: Ab3 – F5. Understudies Sister Mary Robert.
ENSEMBLE, COP, DRAG QUEEN, ALTER BOY, CAB DRIVER - (20-30, Black, African American) Ensemble member who plays a variety of roles ranging from a Cop to Drag Queen, to dancer. Understudies TJ.
SWING 1 - (30-40) Off stage singer that covers Monsignor and Joey tracks.
SWING 2 - (20-30, Latinx, Hispanic, Black, African American) Off stage singer that covers Pablo and Cop tracks.
SWING 3 - (30-40) Off stage singer that covers Sister Mary Lazarus, Sister Martin-of-Tours, and Sister Mary Theresa tracks.
SWING 4 - (20-30) Off stage singer that covers Michelle and Tina tracks.
