Breakdown
All roles will be understudied. Callbacks will be announced and scheduled at auditions. All dates are in 2013. * For pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary. All roles are acceptable for non-traditional casting unless otherwise specified; we seek and encourage participation by performers of all races and ethnicities. MASTER CLASS by Terrence McNally Director: Danny Gidron. (SPT Category 3) 1st rehearsal: May 1. Runs May 24 through August 18, 2-4 times/wk. Tony: Tenor. Mid-late 20’ early 30’s. Must have a serious operatic singing voice. ~~ OR ~~ Sophie: 1st Soprano. Mid-late 20’s early 30’s. Must also have a serious operatic singing voice. ====== BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE by Martin McDonagh Director: Matthew Penn. (SPT Category 6) 1st rehearsal: July 16. Runs August 8 through Sept. 15, 3-6 times/wk. Pato Dooley: Pato, middle-aged (40-55) handsome man and construction worker who’s fed up with having to live and work in England, disappointed by the limitations and loneliness of his life. Love interest to Maureen. ======= LEAP YEAR by William Coe Bigelow Director: Stephen Rothman (SPT Category 4) 1st rehearsal: August 14. Runs August 23 through Sept. 1, 5 times/wk. Rob: Married to Lisa, both 35-50, good people caught in a difficult situation. Lisa: Married to Rob, both 35-50, good people caught in a difficult situation. Grace: Mid- to late 50’s, motherly. ACCOMPLICE by Rupert Holmes Director: Stephen Rothman. (SPT Category 4) 1st rehearsal: Aug. 28. Runs Sept. 21 through Nov. 10, 4-5 times/wk. Janet / Erika / Natalia: Inventive and crafty sex-starved wife of Derek. Mid-late 30’s/40’s Derek / Hal / Jason: Rich, stuffy and boorish husband of Janet. Mid-late 30’s/40’s IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY by Joe Landry Artistic Director / Director: Tony Simotes. (SPT Category 4) 1st rehearsal: Nov. 13. Runs December 6 through 29, 3-5 times/wk. Freddie Filmore: (30-45) Plays The Announcer, Gower, Old Man Potter, Billy, Joseph, Peter Bailey, Ernie, Old Man Collins, Ed, Pete, The Man at Martini’s, Nick, The Bridge Keeper, Binky and The Cop. Singing a plus. Lana Sherwood: (25-45) Plays Violet (and Young Violet), Rose Bailey, Matilda, Ruth, Mrs. Hatch, Mrs. Thompson, Schultz, Zuzu, Janie, The Stage Manager and Sadie Vance. Singing a plus. Harry “Jazzbo” Heywood: (30-45) Plays Harry (and Young Harry), Bert, Clarence Oddbody, Sam Wainwright, Martini, Dr. Campbell, Charlie, The Man at the Bank, Horace the Teller, Mr. Welch, Tommy and The Sheriff.
